About the inn
The Wind ‘n Sea Inn & Apartments is centrally located near downtown Hoonah within short walking distance to the boat harbor, the public school, City Hall, and the senior center. The ferry terminal and the airport are each about 1 mile away and the Icy Strait Point cruise ship facility is about 2 miles away.
We currently have one unit available for short term accommodations with a three-week minimum. The unit is located downstairs, has approximately 800 square feet with 2 bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with a full-size bed), 1 bathroom, a full kitchen with dinette and a living room. The unit is fully furnished and comes with the following amenities:

Kitchen Essentials -- Dishware, Silverware, Cookware and Utensils
Fresh Linens and Towels

Maximum occupancy for the Inn unit is 4 people including children. The Inn does not permit pets, smoking or vaping.
The Inn is available only for extended stays of 3 weeks or longer. The weekly rate is $1000 plus tax.
We strive to provide our guests with clean and inviting accommodations upon check in. Because we primarily offer extended stay accommodations, we do not provide housekeeping and linen service during our guest's stay.
Cancellation policy: Full payment is due at the time of reservation. Cancellations received in writing at least 30 days before the date of arrival will be refunded 50%. A refundable security deposit of $500 is also due at the time of reservation.

about the area
Hoonah is the largest Tlingit village in Alaska with about 70% of its population being of native Alaskan heritage. It is located 40 air miles west of Juneau, Alaska on Chichagof Island. Chichagof Island is the 3rd largest island in Alaska and the 5th largest in the United States. The island has the largest brown bear population in the world, approximately 3 bears per square mile. Summertime provides up to 19 hours of daylight which accommodates plenty of time for outdoor activities. Much of Hoonah’s economy is based on both fishing and tourism in the summertime.

By ferry
Hoonah is located along southeast Alaska’s scenic Inside Passage. The most popular way to reach Hoonah is by ferry. Visit the Alaska Marine Highway System website for a schedule of ferries to Hoonah, Alaska. The ferry ride from Juneau to Hoonah takes approximately 3.5 hours.
